    @peter18cullum
    Do exactly what she said. It’s highly prerequisite and so important that you sing with a “light” tone. I always try to think of it as using “very little effort” in producing sound.

    As you get to higher notes, you will start feeling this “press” feel in the cords. Don’t cut off the lightness. Try to sustain the light effort used on lower notes to high notes.

    Omg that was so hot LOLOL

  9. Arfat says:

    @peter18cullum keep the vocal chords compressed. if it sounds like falsettho you probably aren’t closing hte vocal chords enough. if it sounds like falsettho but is focused and not airy, you’re on the right track.

    what is that song played at the start??????

  16. Thelosttoa11458 says:

    @peter18cullum I’m in a men’s choir and our director taught us an excercise thats an octave slide, but it also helps with the cracking in the voice. From low to high, it goes: “YOHHH-HOHHH!!!” and if you practice that three days a week for about 2 months, You will have smoothed out the “bridge” in your voice. :D hope I helped.

    @dailydoseofrawr LOLOL hell yeh bruh!!!

    All I can tell you is that I bought Singing Success and started using it and it changed my voice almost immediately. I gained more than a full octave overnight and now it doesn’t hurt to sing for hours at a time. Have you guys tried it?

    Awesome! Thats the only thing that messes me up was a crack in voice. In opera, you have to have a strong voice, and this really helps.

  22. Ypnovatis says:

    @calvinadrin Sorry, but… you didn’t “gain” an octave overnight. We are born with nearly 3 octaves range. You gained access to the parts of your body that would allow you to use the higher range. Not against Brett and his awesome program. You just need to know that stuff. ;) I wish you luck with the program.

  23. Tinewashere says:

    I can’t support my high notes :(
    It’s just all falsetto and I can’t in falsetto for very long – at most 10-15 minutes -until it starts to crack and go extremely airy. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong, I wish someone could help.

  24. danielmrussell says:

    @Thelosttoa11458 Brett has a tip video where he mentioned using the sound “Drip” going from low to high, like the sound of an actual water dropping. This worked WONDERS.

    If you say it smoothly as though imitating the actual sound of a droplet, it really works effortless. Once you get the muscle memory from that you can use it in singing. Whenever I forget how much chest/head to use for a particular note, I got back to the “drip” trick, and stop on the note I need to refresh my muscle memory.
